Sliema Wanderers F.C. would like to thank captain Alex Muscat for all the years he has given to our club. After talks with the club and President Keith Perry, through his social media, Alex has announced his decision to retire from playing football due to a recurring injury.

Alex Muscat has etched his name in our club’s history and will always be reputed as one of our legends. A true gentleman on and off the pitch, who has dedicated his life to his family and Sliema Wanderers F.C. together with the Malta National Team.

Sliema Wanderers F.C. salute Alex Muscat as a player after 15 years of impeccable service to the club although hoping his journey with the blues will continue through another path.

We at Sliema Wanderers F.C. would like to wish Alex, ‘Il capitano‘ Muscat all the very best for his future and any path he decides to take.
